Spanners and sockets
Bearings mounted on tapered seatings achieve their interference fit by being driven up the tapered shaft. Care should be taken to ensure the bearing is not driven up too far, as all the internal clearance may be removed and damage to the bearing is possible. Incorrect mounting Bearing driven up too far and all clearance removed; damage possible.

Headset Standards | Park Tool
The bearings are a press fit inside the frame and sit on the machined edge. Bearing alignment then references the internal machining, not the top and bottom faces. The lower bearing is also a press fit onto the steering column. The 1-1/8-inch forks use a bearing with an outside diameter of 42mm. Bearing adjustment is the same as threadless systems.

Container Specification
standardised in ISO 668: Tolerances Length Width Height mm ft mm ft mm ft Maximum difference 10 3 /8" 10 3 8" 10 3/8" Tolerances internal dimensions The internal dimensions and door openings of all Hapag-Lloyd containers correspond to ISO standards. However, the dimensions mentioned on the following pages are nominal figures.

ISO
Standardization of all types and all sizes of bearing elements based on the principle of rolling motion, including the lubrication, their accessories, application and identification and standardization of spherical plain bearings, i.e. plain bearings with spherical contact surface.
-
ISO
ISO 281:2007 specifies methods of calculating the basic dynamic load rating of rolling bearings within the size ranges shown in the relevant ISO publications, manufactured from contemporary, commonly used, high quality hardened bearing steel, in accordance with good manufacturing practice and basically of conventional design as regards the shape of rolling contact surfaces.

Vibration Diagnostic Guide
taken as close to the bearing as possible. If possible, avoid taking readings on the case as the case could be vibrating due to resonance or looseness. NOTE: Enveloping and SEE measurements should be taken as close to the bearing load zone as possible. If possible, choose a flat surface to press the sensor tip against.
